Rainbow Magic Alpaca Farm specializes in environmentally conscious fiber production and compassionate animal-centered care.

Our mission is to shepherd a herd of high-quality fiber-producing alpacas while cultivating meaningful therapeutic relationships between humans and alpacas.

Fiber farming makes up a small percentage of agricultural production here in the USA, but it fills a valuable niche for farmers. Most fiber-producing livestock thrive on land that is not suited for field crops, enabling farmers to make use of marginal land. Fiber production gives farmers the financial benefit of a high-value, non-perishable product. Alpacas have a thick fleece that is shorn annually producing wool that is super soft, dense, three times stronger than sheep’s wool, moisture-wicking, and hypo-allergenic. Alpaca fur has also been given a Class 1 rating by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission thanks to its flame-resistant nature.
